Iranian short ‘Echo’ to vie at Rhode Island fest

Iranian short ‘Echo’ is to compete at the 2021 Flickers’ Rhode Island Int’l filmfest in the US.

Iranian short flick ‘Echo’ has been selected to compete at the 25th edition of the Flickers’ Rhode Island International Film Festival (FRIIFF) in the US.

“The woman couldn’t find a way to escape herself,” a synopsis of the short film reads.

Directed by actor and director Mahin Sadri, the short film’s cast list includes Taraneh Alidousti, Amir-Ahmad Qazvini, Adrian Shantiaee and Arian Shantiaee.

Alidousti is a well-known actress of Iran’s cinema and this is the first time that she takes part in a short film.

‘Echo’ is Sadri’s second short film which has previously vied at the 36th edition of Tehran Short Film Festival.

The FRIIFF is a place for independent filmmakers to showcase their works.

The upcoming edition of the event is slated for August 9-15.
